Mold control….

0705121810a

Hope everyone has a blessed day. I hope it rains where it needs it, quits raining here (another 1.5” this morning on top of 3.5” yesterday, 2” the day before that 12” the week before that, 10” the week before that and …. well I’m sure you see the pattern, it’s wet here). They cancelled our county fair. It hasn’t been cancelled since 1946 and that was due to a polio outbreak. I hope it cools down where it’s really hot and the people without power out east, I hope it comes back on soon. 2012 has really been a different type of year when it comes to weather.

Okay, gotta go. Take care. Blessings!!

My husband just told me yesterday that Mississippi is officially in a drought. It was raining when I was there a month ago so that is confusing to me. I hope it eases up on you guys very soon. :)

We could use some of your rain. And cooler temps. The dogs and I are praying for a very cool fall and cold winter! How are you getting along?

Mercy! Though it's a pain, it's so important to stay on top of the Mold Patrol for yourself and your parents. You know if we were neighbors, I'd come over and help haul out the stuff and spread the bleach. Hang in there, Julie!

Thanks, Julie. Our power came back on yesterday afternoon just before the worst of the heat struck. I spent a lot of the time in the shower then just laid down soaking wet in front of the fan. It was just too hot for our A/C to do much good.

We were lucky that we only lost the power. There were high winds and several local businesses lost their rooftops. One intersection in Sevierville was blocked all night and most of the day. The worst part was the cold showers. It was either that or go out smelly. We were finally able to cook a real dinner last night but it was so hot none of us had any appetite.

There were also several lives lost to the storms in the Smokies area. We were really blessed that we had only a day or so of inconvenience.
