CDCC update…week ? I think 10…

The scale is down a pound, 178.2. I’ll take it especially since I’ve changed my rules just a little bit. I never did hear from the doctor so no news is good news so today I went back to the gym. I didn’t push the walking on the treadmill. I walked 18 minutes at 3mph and started to feel a pull and my shoe was getting tight so I knew it was time to quit. Then I worked out on all the uppers, middles and free weights and balls and did planks, 5 at 30 seconds. We were there for 2 hours and I felt pretty good, really… really good minus a bit of swelling and now tonight it’s sore but manageable.

So with my new plan I need to measure myself and I’m going to do that on Monday when no one is here. We have guest this weekend so will just start that then. I’ll still weigh myself though out the challenge and then will just use my measurement total as a guide.

I didn’t read much this week, I’ve been working late and getting ready for winter that by time I get to bed I’m beyond tired so reading isn’t happening.

I support you all through out the week and am so proud of you for sticking this out, for doing what you can with what the Lord has handed you. I know sometimes it’s a struggle and life is so hard but remember to try to take care of yourself. Take time to eat well, get some exercise in and rest.

Thanksgiving this week. It doesn’t mean you can’t be thankful and even enjoy dinner with family and friends, you just need to think and plan ahead. Turkey is good for you, fresh salads are great, the rest is for everyone else. But your at the table, the fellowship is there and you’re enjoying it all. Water, drink lots of ice-water and you will be fine.

So that’s that, my CDCC. Another week to do the best you can. Eat what’s right, move that body and become as healthy as you possible can. Happy Thanksgiving my dear friends. I am truly blessed to have you all in my life. Thank you!!!

HI, Julie!
Great loss! A pound is another one closer to your target. SO great to read that you are back at the gym. I bet you were smiling the whole time just to finally get in there and sweat like that. Glad to read that you stopped yourself when you felt it in your foot and shoe.

Happy Thanksgiving for YOU and your family!! Michele

Jooooo-Leee!!!! Hello, friend!

You sound a little more chipper today, and BIG SMILES for you and the size 12 jeans!! I can just picture you standing there, jaw slack in amazement the second they zipped and buttoned.

I'll just tell you right up - the mental adjustment to being smaller takes a while. I still buy clothes too big and double take when I pass a mirror. I was so big for so many years...I still see myself that way.

Back to the gym this week is another big Yeah!! I was finally able to work out again yesterday, too, and ahhh, it felt so good. I was going pretty slow and didn't ride for very long, but by golly, I was up and moving and not coughing my head off.

I'd better go wake the masses and start pushing them all to get ready for church. Have a marvelous day!

You had a great week! And yes, no news is usually good news.

Me and the treadmill, well, we have a date this afternoon. It's been too long.

I agree with your Thanksgiving plan - same as mine. Have your favorites, just one serving. Eat the turkey and the veggies.

I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving, Julie.

I'm so happy to hear that you have been back at the gym, and even more happy to hear that you had a good pace and stopped when you felt that pull. That is great!

I'm really happy that you seem so happy :)

I think everybody is a little less diligent about reading and commenting during the week of the holidays. I know I'm going to have a hard time keeping up.

Keep up the moving and have a wonderful holiday.

Great job, Julie! I like the idea of focusing more on the inches, instead of the scale. Great plan and positive attitude.

Take care my friend,
Shawn

Happy Thanksgiving

Hey Julie. You asked about my maintenance calories. It seems that at 1200 I can lose a bit. At 1400 I can maintain, IF I am a little more active. My gyno says if I would walk 6 days per week, for 30 to 45 minutes, she thinks I could eat what I want. I don't agree, but it is an interesting theory.

Great job on the loss & great advice on the food. There are definitely healthy choices to be made when choosing what you put in your mouth throughout the holidays:-) I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year so I will make sure to be making it healthy, or healthier in some cases:-)
