I want candy, I want candy. Really I did great all day until after dinner and now I want candy. Just a piece or two, just a handful of M&M’s. Please, I want candy. BUT!!!…. I’m not going to indulge, I’m just going to go to bed soon.
Now I have something super to share. I ran today, I ran at 5.2 for 3/4 mile and then 5.0 for 1/2 and 4.5 for 1/2. It felt awesome. I did walk some too because I’m not up to par yet but oh it felt so good. 2 miles in 29 minutes, not great but not complaining either. I got a good 2 hour work out in before heading home to daycare.
Today we put up the Christmas tree and a few decorations. I don’t put up lots because I can’t stand the clutter and being closed in but I so love the lights and color.
Starting Wednesday I am going to have my after school kids work on Christmas ornaments to decorate the outside tree. Last year we had a tree we started at Christmas time, then kept adding ornaments for different holidays until after Easter. I’ll share what they make each week. I wish I knew where my hot glue gun is, it sure would make crafting a bit easier.
So that was today. A busy day but a really nice one too. Mike is still out of work so hopefully soon he’ll find something or the resource center will. Like all of us he already has a bill or two to pay plus rent so work is a must.
Take care my friends and sleep well. Tomorrow’s a new day filled with challenges. I’ll be up at 5:00 to go swimming and get my workout done with, then daycare and ??? I have the beginnings of a cold so I’m trying to survive the cough and hope it doesn’t get any worse. Blessings to you all!!

Hi fellow Minnesotan! Hope you feel better soon. Take care of yourself!
Great job with the sweet tooth challenge! Kicking out the sugar and running instead? Awesome! The ornaments sound lovely, and hope that cold sputters out sooner rather than later. :)
Awesome job on the running!
I'm feeling like I'm trying to catch something, too. Hope we can beat it before it beats us!
I like the idea of letting the children make Christmas ornaments for the outside tree. I might have to steal it.
Great job avoiding the candy yesterday. And dang girl, I think two miles in 30 minutes is awesome!!
Great start on the challenge. It sure makes it harder when you have candy in the house! My neighbor is from Minnesota. She shows up right before Thanksgiving and stays until April or May and then she goes back home. I would like to be able to avoid the hot summers too.
Me again. I wanted to say that Walmart always has the mini glue guns for $2.50. You can get low temp too which might be good if the kids are using it.
You're doing well! After a few days the sugar is out of your system! :)
GREAT work on your running, that is so goood! Made me just want to hit the gym and run my heart out! :D
I wanted candy every day for the first 20 weeks of this pregnancy, now I want pretzels and crackers.
I love my glue guns, yes I said guns, I have about 5 of them. Apparently I talk about using them enough that people feel need to buy them for me every year for Christmas.
Have a good time making ornaments!
Thanks for the comment on my blog!
I wish you all the best with the sweet tooth challenge. I'm struggling but so far so good for me, although I want M&Ms now you've mentioned it! hehe!

So, happy that you RAN today!! Good fro you. Be careful, Julie, not to overdue.
We put up a few Christmas lights, but, no tree until mid-December. Love the lights so much. What a great idea to have an outdoor tree too that is decorated for other holidays.
Feel better. Good luck being sugar free. That would be HARD!! Michele
Mikey boy. Hmm. The start of 2012 is going to be a great time for him. Mark my words!
About you? You're a magic machine that runs on endless fuel!
Great to get out and run (as a fellow "north countryer" I know you have to take advantage of the weather when you can)
For sugar/candy cravings I try different teas (fruit or chocolate chai) or berries (fresh or frozen), good luck.
The first few days are always the hardest for me. But you're doing great!! I hope Mike finds work soon. :)
