[Ro+with+Beer.jpg]

See this beautiful woman, her name is Rochelle and she’s hosting a Summer Sizzle Slim Down Challenge. Remember in my last post I said I was going to be doing something for the summer vacation? Well this challenge works out perfect with what I am wanting to do plus she has some pretty awesome challenges to add to what I already want to do.

Week 13 - (begin August 26) - LOW CARB WEEK & NO EATING OUT

Sept 2 - Final Weigh-in, Measurements, Pictures and Thoughts....

So for my first week I need to write it all down. I am going to do this in a journal. My measurements and my weight. My calories will be counted on myfitnesspal and my exercise I’ll journal too. I’ll give you an update on how it’s all going each weekend. I am only going to weight tomorrow am and then September 2nd. I don’t want to be married to the scale this summer. I want to just do the best I can at toning up and losing enough to be comfortable. No set number, no set size, just a bit better me.

So my plans for the beginning of this challenge is to walk 12,000 steps a day (this is about 6 miles of walking) and 2000 (and this is 1 mile of jogging/trotting) of them will be aerobic. I have a pedometer that will keep track of it for me. Like today I had 16,253 steps and 1,846 aerobic. I am hoping to increase the aerobic steps to 6000 by September. I no longer have a membership at the gym so I’ll be doing what I can for exercise here. I have Jillian Shred so will be starting that and also since daycare is here and they love to exercise with the Wii Fit with me I’ll add that too. As it goes on there’s different rules and I’ll do my best to follow them all.

I am not proud of having to start this all over again but it is what it is and life is a learning experience and that is what I’m doing. Learning to become healthy, wealthy and wise. Someday maybe!

Stole this from Rochelle blog from an earlier post but it really says it all.

Oh here’s something cool. I was featured here the end of last month…it’s about my journey so far in my life style change. If you’re bored go have a read.

I read the inspirational article on you and it always gives me more of a push to know how far some people have come and the amazing benefits they have experienced from losing weight. It gives me hope that I can do it too and that the rewards will be amazing. Thanks or sharing the article and best of luck to you in the challenge!
