Day two of my challenges and of course pictures…

Day one for my challenges wasn’t the best. Only 9000 steps walked and no jogging (so only about 3.5 miles moved). But we did plant a huge garden, carried 1000 lbs in blocks and shoveled a ton in pea rock plus went fishing so even though I didn’t do my walking challenge I was busy. I didn’t track anything either and what I did eat wasn’t good for me and not enough calories. But I knew Monday was a good day to start again.

Day two was most excellent....
12179 steps = 6.61 miles walked and 4195 steps jogged = 2.12 miles. YEAH!!
You know something that made it the best? I was ready to call it an evening and I checked my pedometer and needed 2000 more walking steps to make my goal. Told Jim I need to go for a short walk and he told me he'd walk with me, so I didn't have to go alone. About 1/2 done he wanted to turn around so I jogged ahead and came back and then we walked back home. It was great to have him go with me. Tracking I was terrible at still. I need to log into myfitnesspal first thing in the morning and just leave it on my computer so I just remember to write it all down. Tomorrow, I’ll get back into doing it. Water, well for me since I drink almost nothing else is always a plus, a gallon or so a day. I do drink a glass of 1% milk each day and I’ll also have my almond milk with my sf instant breakfast first thing to kick start me and my day.

All in all, it’s a start in the right direction. Tomorrow is another day to get it right and I’m sure going to give it my best. How’d you all do? Got your tracking done? Calories good? Get your miles in, get your exercise done? I have to figure out what I want to do for that but Jillian is screaming in my head to get back to her 30 day shred….I need to but I really don’t like her voice. I know….just do it.

Remember I told you we went to Minneapolis on Saturday? Well I downloaded the pictures that my uncle Daryle and dad took and here are a couple of my favorite at the Como Conservatory and of them.

Today we celebrated Anton’s 8th birthday at the Aitkin City Park. We always have a blast when we get out and about to play so today wasn’t any disappointment at all. We got to see lots of squirrels and chipmunks and even a porcupine.

Anton. He’s my mini Mike. He is so much like my Mike, just in a smaller size. He is such a great little man and has been coming to daycare now for 8 years.

Since Rachel is almost to old for daycare but really tells me she’s coming until she graduates and goes off to college, I decided it was time for a big girl activity. So today I taught her how to copy a pattern from something she wanted to make, cut it out, pin it together and sew. It was an easy first project but you should of seen her puff up with pride the closer she came to getting it done. And Anton….oh WOW did he like his handmade by Rachel pillowcase. See….

Today was an awesome day. It just can’t get any better then this. Well it can, I can track my food, walk my miles, love my kids and kiss my hubby. I’ll do them all tomorrow and more. I’ll be back to share.

Take care my friends and have a wonderful night sleep and a blessed day tomorrow.

I want to put my kids in your day care... I ran a day care for many years and I know what a special person you are to be loving and caring for these kids.

BTW, well done on the challenge. I am so happy you are in on it with me. :)

You are an incredible day care mama. How thoughtful of you to teach Rachel how to sew and celebrating Anton's BD at the park. Wow. They are lucky kids to be with you!

Nice work on stepping UP on the second day!

Those kids are so lucky to have you as their daycare mama! You are teaching them such valuable lessons and no money can pay for that! Good job Julie!!

Tracking can be such a pain - but already see even with myself that if I don't do it right away, I'm more likely to make a bad choice.
Today was not great for me - but like you said - we can start again tomorrow. Great job on the jogging and calorie burn!
