33:48…Yippy!!!!

My best time yet. My best time out of the 4 races I’ve done since I started walking/running last October 1st. My first race was 56:44, my second 44:18, my third 34:08 and today’s 33:48. I am happy, I did it and I am glad. My feet and ankle did not hurt and my back and calf waited until about the 400 meters left before they started to bother me so I just pushed and went.

I have got to tell you, Mike, Brenda, Rachel, Abby and Becky all came to cheer me on. Rachel, Abby and Becky walked Wilbur who by the way was the only dog to walk the race. Mike took his mountain bike and checked on me at least 5 different times and Brenda walked Scout to the 500 meter left line and Scout barked and Brenda cheered. It was awesome. Super Awesome!!! It was also very cold 34* and very windy so the wind-chill was 22* when we got there, I think by time we got going the sun was up and it had to be warmer because I took my jacket off and went in my tanks and was just fine until I finished and then I am sure as I cooled down I turned to ice.

So without anymore words, here’s my race in pictures.

Last race of the year. Next will be cross country skiing. I can sure handle that now. Well other then it having to snow and be cold.

So now it’s onward and downward. I am going to concentrate on my weight loss and toning up and working on my 5K in 100 days but at a 3 days a week now instead of 6 days to get to where I am.

So thank you all for your help this week, for listen to me whine and complain and piss and moan. Thank you for your advice and support and so much more. I will be looking into the footstore and shoe inserts and maybe a new pair of shoes next spring for my next 4 races of the year.

Take care my friends and have a blessed and awesome weekend. I’m napping this afternoon, shopping tomorrow and putting the boat to bed for the winter. I’m sure other goodies but I also want to relax a bit and enjoy the sunshine and warmth.
