Every Runner is Running Their Own Race……

Another site says….

Best Answer: Anything under 30 minutes is solid if you're just starting out...below 25 is pretty good, and the closer you are to 20, the better.

Well I just guess I’ll see. I did it once in 34 minutes. I was younger and didn’t hurt. Now I’m wiser and will just do my best and see where it takes me. Guess I shouldn’t dwell on time, just running the race to the best of my abilities.

C25K….just help me learn to run/jog do my best. Week 1, Day 3 is finished. Next week we’ll try some more. I have until June 8th to learn and practice. Then we’ll just see. I’m hoping other 5K will pop up around here. If anyone hears of some around here please share. I know Aitkin will have one, Deerwood will and Crosby will. I think Garrison had one last year…don’t remember when though, will have to see. Also in August there’s a mud run in Fergus Falls. I’m trying to convince Mike he wants to do it with me. We’ll see.

Just wanted to share what Kalei's best friend suggested....research it.

Week one, 2 miles in 30:22 minutes….. Next week ???

Blessings my friends. Time to get dress and get to my cleaning job. No bus driving for me today. My school’s out on spring break and the route I had this week was preschool and they don’t go to school on Fridays. I got to sleep in until 7:00, oh it was nice.

Take care and God Bless!!

When in doubt, Google.. Also a friend told me, if you want to know how to fix something- go to You tube, there is always a fix-it w/step video! believe me.,.. and if u want a good review on an electronics- go to cnet.

I agree that you should just focus on running the race and doing your best. Time is nice because it shows improvement, but I don't believe it's something that should be dwelt on. Yay for sleeping in a little this morning!! That must have been nice. :)

So glad to hear you are getting exercise and training for a 5k. It will be so good for you. I wish I could do it with you but I have so much going on I can't focus on anything outside of me right now. I know you have a lot on your plate too right now. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you the very best as you try to make sense of all that is going on. Please try to enjoy your free day as much as you can. Thinking of you.
Hugs.

Finishing is ALL that matters. Forget the times!

Girl if you finish under 30 minutes I will personally fly to Aiken and, well, Im not sure what, but.... Someday I would love to do on under 30, but with my body, and my age, and my not wanting to die, Im not holding my breath!!!

I agree with Kyra about the time issue. I never pay attention to my time. Of course, I can't run as far as you either. LOL Just the fact that we get out there and DO SOMETHING is great! I ran sprint 8's this morning and it was fantastic. And perfect for improving fitness. I can walk up the stairs at school now without getting winded. I was thinking that I should stay late a few days each week and try running up the stairs and walking down a few times. Not sure if I will but I am thinking about it. LOL

Don't pay any attention to the times of others. Others have others bodies and training histories. You have your body and your training history so the only way you measure you is against you. That part about 30 minutes being solid. As far as I'm concerned that is more than solid. It is amazing. I'm only shooting to better my own time and my own endurance and my own feeling when I'm done. You're going great and you keep going so that means you're doing amazing!!
