Last boat ride…and…

Sunday we went fishing and then took the boat out and are now cleaning it, replacing the starter, filing the propeller and then covering it for the winter. It was a beautiful day on Saturday and I caught …. well nothing but it wasn’t because I didn’t try. Mike and Scout were gone for the day so it was just Jim, Wilbur and I. We had a great time and I of course took some pictures to share.

My boy and my favorite picture of Wilbur. He’s never much for looking when you want him too but this time it just happened and well it’s my desktop picture now.

To get from our littler bay to the bigger lake you go through this tiny, low water opening, the reason for taking the propeller off and filing…there’s some mighty big rocks in that opening.

We live near a pretty huge lake and it has many islands on it. Some have people, some are to small for anything and then there’s this one that use to have someone on it but now the geese live there.

Yesterday I took a walk in the woods. I love hearing the crunching of the leaves, I love the smells of fall and it was just so peaceful and right now, I need just that tiny bit of get away by myself and be quiet. So I only took one picture and then just walked. But here’s the one…

I’m thinking today will be another day for a walk, that is after daycare, the chicken coop and the usual house stuff. It’s suppose to be 70 something today and sunny. Gotta enjoy these warm days before …. well it’s chilly, damp and then cold and that “s” word.

Allan sent us our usual morning updates and pep talk and a graph on how everyone’s doing. My name made the top of that graph. Usually that means something nice, great …. well this time NOT!!! I’m the only one last week that gained a pound, the rest lost anywhere from 1 to 11 lbs. OUCH!!! That scale better show I’m trying. Try harder….I am, I will!!

Take care my friends and have a blessed day.

Looks like a fun boat ride, I love fishing, my dad used to take my brother and I fishing all the time when we were kids, it was really fun.

Wilbur is a cutie, Pumpkin was sitting on my lap when I read the post and she went bananas about the dog, she'll probably talk about it for a week, she's a real dog lover.

Hi, Julie! What beautiful pictures. Don't you love this time of the year? I sure do. I always seem to get inspired and motivated in the fall to do things I should have been doing all year long - like tending to my health and losing some weight. Oh, well, better late BEFORE never! Wilbur looks like an awesome companion - so cute. Good luck this week. Stay focused and inspired and I bet you'll be at the top of the list for weight loss. Blessings, Jackie

Beautiful photos! Summer is just starting this side, and I'm definitely not ready to go back to winter yet, so that is GOOD.

Hang in there, Julie, keep on rocking!
