Looking to the future and our trip to the look out…

Mike took a picture of me today and I like it. It’s not a great picture, that’s not what I mean but it is how I am feeling right now and it shows.

I am feeling a bit lost, a bit worried, a bit apprehensive, a bit sad but at the same time I am feeling this…

A lot happy, a lot proud, and so pleased that Mike has figured out where he wants to go in life. It took him a couple years pass high school to figure it out but he knows.

Today we went to the overlook in Crosby. This is the first year it has ever been opened on new years eve and we had to go up there and take some pictures. Take a peek at something we never get to see this time of year.

You know how I love taking pictures of Mike so I’m going to share some more.

And me and the dogs…

WONDERFUL photo, Julie. I feel that way too, but for different reasons. I wish you the very best of everything this year, my friend. Much love to you.

I want to give you a big hug, just because I like you so much! How lucky Mike is, to have you as his mom. :)

Beautiful pics!! I often feel that way too and have a pic just like this to show it. Pictures mean so much more when they show the actual you. Stay happy always... and dont worry so much. Why worry? it takes up so much time you could have spent smiling and having fun.

Big HUG to you Julie! I know it´s hard, but it "will be well". You´ll see.
What will Mike be studying? Sorry for being curious but I´m really interested.
It means so much if your child knows what he/she wants to be in life. There are so many kids that just wander from job to job or have a job that does not make them happy. I wish your Mike all the best in his new studies!

That place looks beautiful! Happy New Year, and don't worry when your son goes you may find a whole new aspect to your life that you had never thought of!

When I left for uni almost 3 years ago, I could tell my mum was dreading it. Now when I go back to visit, her and dad do so much more with their lives, it's like they have finally allowed time for themselves again, and it's great for me to see them so much happier!

I hope you, and your son have a brilliant 2012! x

I love the pictures and your blog. It's always hard when our kids leave. Mine have left and come back a few times. They are always welcome but we also hope they will totally find their way so we don't worry so much what will happen if/when we're gone. :)

I love your pictures, Julie! I love the snow and miss it so much, especially around Christmas time. Like I said before, I am so excited to be partnering with you in the E2E! Happy New year!

That looks like beautiful country! You're lucky to live in such a nice area. It's hard to be sad. It's one of the tough things about losing weight and getting healthier - you are feeling your feelings instead of stuffing them down with food. Sending good thoughts and energy your way. You are doing a great thing for Mike by supporting him in his desire to go to school. Much peace to you!

I feel like you in the picture, too. :/ Phew. And by the way, that picture could win a photography award!
