E2E update and my weekend…

E2E: Emerge Transformed!14 Weeks to a New You!

My quotes:  "If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run." --John Bingham

And: "If you want to become the best runner you can be, start now. Don't spend the rest of your life wondering if you can do it." -Priscilla Welch

Maintaining, that is all that I’m doing. Weight is still 180, waist is still 39”, exercise is still 3 times a week walking/running and fish flopping exercising. And my book, well haven’t taken the time to read more about running since I’m just sorta at a stand still with what I’m able to do. So the challenge for me is not going anywhere’s. I didn’t start the shred last week but hoping to do that this week, however mama has some medical stuff going on so we’ll see how time works out for that. I am planning on hitting the gym 2 for strength training, 3 times out here running and some home exercises so maybe if I can get that in and keep my calories near 1200 that scale will move some. But has anyone noticed that it costs .99 cents for not good for you food and $4.00 for good for you foods? My budget is so limited right now that it’s hard to buy all the right stuff though I did get some stuff today to aid in the calorie part.

I won’t complain though, really about any of this, because I have not gained for a few months now (nothing but a pound here and then lost) so that means I am learning something. This  challenge for me was really about learning to run and really I’m doing that to the best of my abilities. So all is good, just not great. I want to get back into the 170’s so have just a few more weeks to do that and I really like to be there for my 50th birthday. So it’s onward and downwards I go.

Remember this last weekend?: 100_8871All bundled up and cross country skiing? Well this weekend I have got out walking/running  twice 0311121637a Once with daddy in just a sweatshirt and once in a t-shirt. Minnesota has such different weather from one day to the next. Today we did this: 0311121503a 0311121552a unloaded a load of coal. Should be the last one for the winter.

I had very late daycare Friday night, midnight to be exact but we had a blast. There was Rachel, Abby, Anton plus Scott and Mike were here so we all played on the wii for a few hours. 100_8876We also did a scrapbook page of our evening (at like 10:00 at night because they wanted to do a project) so I used this picture. 100_8905  Soon Mike will be gone and Scott will be busy for the summer so group pictures are very precious to me right now. 100_8896 This is “my” Rachel,  I have had her since she was 4 weeks old and she is turning 12 next week. It is just so amazing to watch her grow up. We are having hers and Mike’s birthday on Friday. They have shared a birthday for the past 12 years and this will be their last one together because Mike will be in school for his next one and then I am sure off and running to a new life.

So there is my update, my challenge and my life. All in all I wouldn’t trade any single part of it for a million bucks. I’ve done good, I’ve raised the most awesome son, I have helped raise the most terrific daycare wee ones and I have been there for my nephew through all the teens stuff and family problems and they are all the most wonderful kids ever. I am blessed beyond anything I could of ever imagined.

So a new week, new challenges, busy work schedule and some dieting that needs to be done. It’ll happen, just one day at a time, one issue at a time, some days just a minute at a time. Please remember my mama in your prayers. She is feeling a bit stronger with the new blood running around in her and we’ll find out Tuesday what’s what on the aneurysm, we aren’t borrowing any troubles, we’re not guessing ahead, one day at a time, that’s all we can do and also thank God for.

Blessings my friends. I’ll be stopping by as soon as I can to see how you’ve been doing. Have an awesome evening and a truly productive and exciting week.

You're doing well. The shred will definitely help you out if you want that number to move.

Cheap food IS cheap! But i've found, when I eat cheap food, I eat more of it and more frequently. In my comparisons, the cost of eating healthy and eating poorly is just about the same. Cheaper, if your bad habit is frequenting restaurants - like mine :(. But healthy can be affordable! Tuna, celery, tomatoes, potatoes, lettuces... fruit gets a little pricey, but if you're prepping stuff at home, you can definitely make your dollar stretch.

Man, I hear ya on the food prices. Nanette is right though when you think about it. The healthier stuff can last longer usually if you plan it right. You are doing so awesome and we did have some beautiful weather here in Minnesota, this week is supposed to be just as nice (not counting today's raining but I see that as God's way of cleaning up all the dirt and such from Winter so Spring has a fresh, clean start:-) Great pics, it looks like there was all sorts of fun to be had in your home:-)

Re the prev post...Y's sometimes have cheap rooms to rent and there may also be a hostel and sometimes dorm rooms are available cheap. Hope it's a good trip and also that your mom does ok.

I think that if everyone had a day-carer like you, the world would be a better place. ♥

Your post is full of thankfulness despite of your challenges. I can learn something from you.
It´s good that you have been able to not gain weight. I think, that is as important as loosing, because it´s as hard as loosing! Hope, you will have a great week. Keep being optimistic.
