I hate cutting wood as much as I hate liver but when a tree blows down what is a woman to do? Get out the chainsaw and cut the sucker up so it dries for the winter. Not to mention as much as I hate cutting it, I would hate to be cold.
All went pretty good until I got the saw stuck in the tree. That stump was so heavy but I was able to get it moved around enough to get it loose and finish up the job. One tree down, 3 more to go plus about 6 more cords.
Hope you all had a great day today. I had a new wee one today and the greatest compliment of a new one is when they are picked up and they go kicking and screaming because they wanted to stay and play more.

Julie I must say...I'm very impressed by a little woman that knows how to operate a chain saw, cut, stack (6 cords) and burn wood. That's a lotta work as you well know.
You know, Julie, I often speak of our ancestor 'mothers' and their stamina, courage, strength, etc. and how we women of today would never be able to do what they did. But you would! I am always in such admiration of you!
You amaze me with all that you do. Go you!!
